About TVSizeCalc

Buying a TV should be simple. But when you Google "what size TV should I buy," you get pages full of THX standards, SMPTE viewing angles, horizontal resolution thresholds — all written for engineers, not for someone who just wants to watch Netflix on their couch.

TVSizeCalc exists because there's a better way. Two questions. One answer. Done.

The math behind the calculator is solid: it uses the widely recommended viewing angle of about 30°, which balances immersion and comfort. For 4K TVs, that's roughly 7.5× your distance. For 1080p, it's about 5.5×. We round to real TV sizes you can actually buy.

No ads. No upsells. No "check out these TVs on Amazon." Just a clean tool that gives you a straight answer and sends you on your way. If this helped you pick the right TV, that's the whole point.

The most common TV regret? Buying too small. So if you're on the fence — go one size up.
